Elation Celebrates 12 Years On the Road with Tour 2011

Day 10 - Ruidoso, New Mexico

Community UMC | 220 Junction Rd.
Performance: 7pm
Travel: 435 miles from Flagstaff, AZ

After a very early morning and a very long drive, Elation made it Ruidoso, NM just in time to set up for our performance. The space was very intimate and the crowd was very excited to have us with them. We were glad to be able to perform, as there have been fires in town recently. Please keep this community, as well as all of the others in the southwest, in your prayers as the wildfires have been truly devastating.

Howdy everyone!
This trip has been absolutely amazing. I’ve never been to California or Nevada, much less Vegas (which was one of the best nights that I’ve had on tour.) Yesterday was my first time to the Grand Canyon and I was absolutely baffled at the greatness of it. This has been a good final tour for me and I’m so blessed that I have been a part of such an awesome group. I will miss this family so much and it will definitely be hard to leave. Thank you to everyone who helped get us here.

Good Afternoon!
I cannot begin to describe how incredible this trip has been. From the cool beaches in Cali to the completely beautiful Grand Canyon, it was completely breathtaking! As far as Elation goes, I’m only sad that I didn’t find it earlier. Thanks to everyone who contributes to this absolutely amazing experience.

I wouldn’t consider this a trip as much as an adventure. We grow together, we cry together, and we worship together. We are all having a great time, and are saddened that this blessing is almost over. I cannot wait to share my experiences with my grandparents and other friends. I even tried ‘In-n-Out Burger’ for the first time! I wish that this adventure could last forever, I love everyone in this group like I would a brother or sister. As I finish this letter, please understand that we all miss our family greatly, and are excited to be home with you guys.

HEY EVERYONE!
Wow. I don’t think that there has been one boring moment on this trip. We’ve all grown together so much as a group. We’ve done so many things: we went through L.A., saw the Grand Canyon and walked the Santa Monica Pier. I am so blessed to be a part of this group; it’s hard to imagine what my life would be like without it. I’m sad that it can’t go on longer. I can’t wait to tell my family all that has happened!

Hey Darling People Back!!!!!
Well this has been such a memorable year! I am so happy that the entire group got to bond and be so close this entire trip. We saw some truly amazing sights such as the Grand Canyon and the The Strip in Las Vegas, we saw a lot of casinos but unfortunately(fortunate for the parents though) we didn’t get to get out and explore The Strip. We have had such a great year that tears will be flowing at the homecoming even before we start the show. We are so happy to see all our families and friends so come out and see the show!!!!

Hey Elation supporters
This was my first year and I have had a blast and the reason why is the people who took care me in elation. I’ve seen so much and I have learned so much about myself and what kind of person I want to be in this world. I want to think everyone who was apart and/or still a part of this amazing thing that teaches us. I’m just sad my parents didn’t get to share this journey with me. We got to see Las Vegas, Hollywood, Santa Monica pier and bunches more. It is going to really sad to not only see the seniors leave this year but all the people I have befriended on this tour as well.
